Numeric Entry - the input calculator
When you click on a value anywhere, the value entry computer pops up like this:
This is basically a scientific calculator with a few extras. Basic functions are assigned at the left hand side. You can operate it like any other calculator or you can simply type stuff in:
and press OK (if you want to use it) or =. You'd either be mad or extremely clever to do this however.
Functions
Functions provided are:
|
- Sine
-
Cosine
-
Tangent
-
arcSine (reverse sine)
-
arcCosine (reverse cos)
-
arcTangent (reverse tan)
-
Remainder (integer function)
-
Power (i.e. 3 ^ 2 = 3² = 9)
-
Log10 (base ten logarithm)
|
- Exp10 (base ten anti-logarithm)
-
Ln (natural logarithm)
-
Exp (natural anti-logarithm)
-
Square (equivalent to using power 2)
-
Square Root (equivalent to using power .5)
-
dB - magnitude deciBel, i.e. ratio 2 = 6dB
-
adB - anti - dB (convert from dB → ratio)
-
dBP - power/audio deciBel, i.e. ratio 2 = 3dB
-
adBP - anti - dB (convert from dBP → ratio)

|
You can also use parenthesis, and the constant Pi (Π) is available.
Degrees and radians
The trigonomic functions also depend upon the selection of Rad or Deg, which selects radians or degrees.
360° is equivalent to 2·Π radians.
Modifiers
In addition you can change the multiplier of the number with the following:
|
- G Giga - 1,000,000,000 times bigger
-
M Mega - 1,000,000 times bigger
-
k Kilo - 1,000 times bigger
|
- m Milli - 1,000 times smaller
-
µ Micro - 1,000,000 times smaller
-
n Nano - 1,000,000,000 times smaller
|
|
The following buttons make the value increase and decrease by 2 and 10 times:
|
- >> Make the number 10 times bigger
-
> Double the number
|
- << Make the number 10 times smaller
-
< Halve the number
