CuteStudio Products
CuteStudio Ltd. supplies the following software products:
Audio Tools
CuteStudio has a number of audio tools primarily aimed at CDs damaged by the Loudness War. Music downloads can also be repaired by the program if the files are converted into WAV files for declipping.
- Wav read/write routines. These are library routines to get various flavours of WAV file into and out of linear arrays to permit further data processing. It also deals with segmented or 'windowed' data allowing streaming functionality and long file use with a low memory overhead.
AIFF format is also available with a little notice.
-
Audio conversion
plugin system for multi-format libraries etc.
-
Waveform levelling and declipping. This is both in text based form for addition to streaming audio sources and graphical play-as-you-go preview form.
Waveform declipping can help in areas such as:
- Hi-Fi, improving modern CD audio sound
-
Speech systems where the waveform may be clipped and therefore less audible

Electronic EDA technology
Learn about electronics, filter design, waveforms and the world of simulation.
Draw your circuit and test it before you build it!
Welcome to Cutestudio's SPICE compatible simulation technology for full time domain, AC and DC swept simulations.
The products are perfect for learning and professional electronics and RF, the modular nature of the Sumos simulation technology allows component models and types, matrix engines and other major sub-sections to be researched within a simple and extendable framework.
Explore electronics from your computer in three easy steps:
- Sumo: Graphical Framework for circuit building and simulation.
- SPICE compliant netlisting and results analysis.
-
Intuitive pick and place schematic drawing
-
Easy placing of current and voltage probes
-
Visual choice and selection of waveform sources
-
Subcircuit symbol editing and creation
-
Simple text based files (with revision control built in)
-
Programmable parametric sweeps
-
Monte-Carlo analysis
-
Cutomisable 'spreadsheet' style waveform specification
-
The Sumo framework will also drive SPICE/PSPICE etc. as well as the internal Sumos simulator.

Graphics software for embedded, mobile and fixed devices
Our software stack consists of a number of modules that sit one on top of the other in a 'stack'.
These then work together via well defined APIs to create the final application. This method allows our applications to run anywhere and indeed from anywhere, with a consistent look, feel and performance.
- WRAITH: Menu system
- Intuitive event driven principles
-
Lean-Cuisine menu control principles
-
Simple and effective API that isolates the application from its interface.
-
Driven from simple text files (optionally embedded into the application at build time)
-
Very fast and consistent application development.
-
GLASS: Window system
- A complete windows system in less than 3000 lines of code.
-
Probably the worlds fastest and smallest windows system.
-
Intelligent event, exception and input device handling
-
GAIL: Graphical Advanced Interface Library, the drawing core server side
- Neat, small and fast scalable graphics library.
-
Flexible API system that can be expanded and exported at will.
-
The event system means it fits easily onto Linux X windows, Microsoft Windows or native or even network devices
-
Allows graphics, keyboard and mouse to be routed via TCP/IP etc.
- This means GAIL can provide graphical services on everything from local PCs, PDAs right through the internet to clients thousands of miles away. I.e. share your screen, dock to a new keyboard mid application etc.
-
OSL: Operating System Layer.
- Device and OS abstraction layer
-
Queue and FIFO management routines
-
Integrated stakable error messaging system
Graphics applications:
The CuteStudio graphics stack makes a natural choice where a high performance compact graphics library, GUI (MMI) interfaces and functionality is required.
- Mobile phone system software
-
PDA interfaces
-
Handheld game and navigation devices
-
In car systems (dashboards, trip computers, audio, nav etc.)
