SUMO OPTIONS
The OPTIONSmenu controls various aspects of the schematic system.

Circuits area
| Type | Purpose
| DOTS | Toggle display of the grid dots in the circuit window.
| VALUES | Toggle display of component values/models.
For sub-circuits, the firstparameter of a sub-circuit is used as its 'value', and is the one which will be displayed.
| TOLS | Various components such as resistors have a parameter called "Tol". This parameter is used for the Monte-Carlo tolerancing simulations. Because it is connected with a components value, "Tol" can be displayed together with the value, on the schematic. Click-on TOLSto toggle.
| CURSOR | The (green) square cursor in the circuit drawing is used as a reference position for INSERT, PASTE and ANNOTATE ( EDITmenu) operations. It can be made visible/invisible by toggling this option.
File options
| Type | Purpose
| OPEN VERSIONS | If this is selected, when opening a circuit containing more than one version, a choice of versions is given, together with the ability to comment them.
| KEEP SWEEP FILES | For a sweep simulation, various SWP_*.* files are created during its operation. There may be two for each sweep. These can be useful for diagnostics, but for general use are not required, and are deleted after use.
Miscellaneous options
| Type | Purpose
| USER STATISTICS | If set, the user has to login to SUMO, and the login name is used to gather statistics. This is useful if SUMO is on one machine used by many different people. If using it as a single user, switch this option off, and the login name defaultwill be used automatically.
| DEFAULT-TRACES | This disables automatic default traces to be created for unused PROBE s and METER s. Default traces are useful when editing circuits when re-naming, deleting or adding PROBEs and METERs.
Graphing options
| Type | Purpose
| RANGING | If selected allows graphs produced - while the SUMOS simulator is running - to auto-range every 10 seconds or so. This is fine for fast maths assisted PCs but not recommended for others.
